Our role is, first and foremost, to transmit our fascination with a craft and to ignite that same excitement in the designer. This is the foundation of our curatorial approach: creating the right encounter between a designer's universe and that of a workshop.

Tarvas started out about as far from that as possible, in a small basement workshop in Helsinki, Finland. It was there that the founders tinkered with prototypes until, in 2017, they were ready to launch a line of footwear that blended outdoors functionality with streamlined Nordic design.

From bold lug-sole footwear to sleek low-profile sneakers that blend comfort with cool, spring's shoe lineup will make any outfit diverse and exciting. Think minimalist ballet flats with edgy studs or breathable mesh, backless loafers that serve as the ultimate transitional wear, and the resurgence of animal print beyond the iconic leopard.

I remember standing in a boutique in San Francisco, sliding my credit card across the counter for a pair of $400 sneakers I absolutely could not afford. My second startup had just folded-eighteen months of burning through investor money, eighteen months of watching something I built crumble in slow motion-and I was drowning in debt. But there I was, walking out with a shopping bag and a receipt that made my stomach turn, telling myself this was an investment in how people perceived me.

Wax London is here to get us all outdoors this spring with its new-season collection 'The Outside is On'. Keeping the brand's balance of timelessness, craft and wearability, the new collection is a celebration of the optimism of spring - and yes, that means colour.

This continues the brand's "The Architecture of Everyday Life" ideology, focusing on scaffolding and steel beams, stairwells and sidewalks, mesh fences, utility grates and metals.

This process requires a certain awareness of materials and proportions, as a shoe with a strong design has the ability to transform even the simplest outfit into a sophisticated and modern style statement.

Winter is here, and footwear is the foundation of every outfit—literally. As a New Yorker working in fashion with a daily commute, I've learned (the hard way) that the best winter shoes have to balance style with real-world practicality. Looking ahead to winter 2026, designers seem to agree. This season is all about polish meeting performance, with sculptural silhouettes, cozy textures, and sneakers made for all-day, everyday wear.
