As La Gazzetta dello Sport recall, Jashari's last start in a competitive game was on 25 May, for Club Brugge. More than six months have passed since then, and this must be the first necessary condition to consider before analysing the Swiss midfielder's performance against Lazio.

Ardon Jashari has been on the sidelines since the start of the season due to an injury, but the midfielder has hinted that he could soon be back in action. It was at the end of August that Jashari suffered a serious injury in training, breaking his fibula after a challenge with Santiago Gimenez. An initial recovery period of 2-3 months was mentioned in the media and now, almost to the day, two months have passed.
