Laguna Beach takes its history and cultural heritage seriously—from the earliest Western settlers who set up artist studios, to our Indigenous peoples who made this special place home thousands of years ago.

The Twin Pavilions are designed to reinterpret the traditional gable form, presenting two single-pitch volumes that engage with the coastal landscape in a unique manner.

The Old Bridge in Mostar, known locally as Stari Most, was built between 1557 and 1566, its stone arch rising above the Neretva River for more than four centuries. It was destroyed in 1993 during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, then rebuilt in the early 21st century with international support. Today it stands as a symbol of reconciliation as much as a piece of Ottoman-era architecture.

"I can't stress enough how much of a revolving door it is," says designer Henry Boyle of the seaside Nantucket compound he recently completed for a Connecticut-based couple, their four young-adult children, and a pack of beloved dogs. "They're local celebrities in this community-it's a constant stream of people."

The entire indoor journey, from entry to elevator to the 100th floor, has been reimagined as a multi-sensory, immersive environment. The overhaul comes via a collaboration between experiential design firm Journey, multimedia studio Moment Factory and NYC-based design outfit SOFTlab.

Marquee Skydeck has quickly established itself as a standout destination, blending panoramic skyline views with high-energy nightlife. This season promises an exciting lineup of world-renowned DJs, including MK, Benny Benassi, and Gareth Emery.

There is a fascinating backstory to this bridge. Among other things, it took an extraordinary amount of time to build due to problems with bureaucracy and red tape. From the time it was announced as a project, it took 31 years to begin construction. The bridge eventually started construction in 1936 and opened in 1939. The bridge stretches for an impressive 3,700 feet over the East River.

Jersey City is diverse and has a cultural depth that the locals are only too happy to share. The city opposite New York City on the Hudson River has breathtaking views of the Big Apple's skyline and the Statue of Liberty is clearly visible. Despite New York having legal jurisdiction over the statue, her location is within the boundaries of Jersey City.
