And we have watched, and federal law enforcement has done nothing At done nothing, agents began firing tear gas in the direction of Prokupecz and some of the protestors. At least two projectiles appeared to land mere feet away from the reporter and his cameraperson.

A group of journalists, protesters, and clergy sued the Trump administration over the military occupation of Chicago, and Ellis issued a TRO limiting the tactics federal agents can use. Amongst the banned methods of riot control include the use of tear gas and other kinds of noxious gas unless there is an immediate safety threat. But over the weekend, Bovino was caught on camera throwing canisters of tear gas into a crowd without any warnings or verbal orders to disperse.

I spoke with Alameda County Sheriff Yesenia Sanchez, who confirmed through her communications with ICE that Border Patrol operations are cancelled for the greater Bay Area - which includes Oakland - at this time.

"He rides his ATV in the desert with Border Patrol," she says. "He helps keep our communities safe."

Videos recorded from inside the family's truck show at least three masked agents wearing tactical vests marked with police surrounding the car. At least one of the agents is wearing a hat marked CBP.

Authorities identified Ryan Louis Mosqueda, 27, as the shooter who fired at federal agents at a border patrol facility in Texas, injuring a police officer.
