The game started when it probably shouldn't have because it was the marquee MLB game in front of more than 90,000 fans.
However, the former St. Louis Cardinal has done the exact opposite, turning almost every outing into a disaster so far. Helsley has allowed 14 earned runs (10 earned) in just 8.2 innings pitched with seven walks and 11 strikeouts. His ERA sits at a massive 10.83 and opponents have a .393 BAPIB against him.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy acknowledged the importance of the bullpen's contributions, stating, 'We had a lot of guys step up today, it's not easy to use seven pitchers in one game.'
