Christine Baranski will make her West End debut in Noel Coward's Hay Fever, fulfilling a long-held dream and returning to her theatre roots.
Hannah Waddingham is a staunch LGBTQ+ ally. The star has garnered a strong queer following, thanks to her performances in West End favourites and on-screen with Willow, as well as her 2022 judging panel appearance on RuPaul's Drag Race UK.
What is the trait you most deplore in yourself? Impatience. I'm not very good at waiting around or dealing with things that aren't moving at a pace that I want them to. What is the trait you most deplore in others? Superiority. I shrink when I'm around people who act superior, whether it's due to authority or intellect.
Among the bold choices in Luca Guadagnino's feverish film of William S Burroughs' novel are the late 20th-century pop and alternative soundtrack (Nirvana, Prince, New Order) for a 1950s story, and the casting of an unrecognisable, orc-like Manville in a trumped-up cameo as the shaman Dr Cotter, who was male in the original book.
