Doctors told us my grandson wouldn't live past three months, but they didn't know Elijah was capable of. Today he's 7 years old, stubborn as ever and fighting every day to prove them wrong. Elijah was born with cerebral palsy. Caring for him is a full-time, all-hands-on-deck operation that includes in-home nurses, physical and occupational therapy, school support and a small pharmacy's worth of medications.

Her kindness, her determination and her warmth touched our family every single day. She brought so much joy and pride into our lives, and the pain of her passing is something we will carry forever. While we are devastated by her loss, we are incredibly proud of the person she was and the way she represented Australia. As a family, we are deeply grateful for the support shown by so many people connected to Paige, including her teammates and friends.

Three-week-old Theo is fast asleep in a cot, unaware he is helping to trial new technology that could change the lives of others. Dr Flora Faure is gently fitting him with a small black cap that looks like a swimming cap, or something a rugby forward might wear. It is covered with hexagonal lumps, containing technology that monitors how his brain is working.

Dr. Aaron Hartman will never forget the first time he saw Anna. She was 12 months old, sitting in a Bumbo chair on a Winnie the Pooh blanket, her tiny body unable to support itself. An eye patch covered her "strong" eye-not because it was injured, but because her brain had suffered such severe birth trauma that it affected her eye function. Her hands were curled tightly to her chest, classic signs of the brain damage she'd endured before birth.

Grace Wolstenholme highlighted the dangers of misinformation, stating, 'There's a lot of bad people on social media, so you do need to check the facts.' She experienced distress over a death hoax that misrepresented her condition, leading to significant personal and professional impact.

I can't believe what they're putting people through, she said. [I'm] just a law-abiding person, who has never broken the law in my life. I've always tried to do things by the book.

"Everybody was trying to tell the police, no, no. Those four officers didn't care. They didn't ask what was happening, what was the situation."
