Federal and local agents say they pulled about 10 kilograms of cocaine out of New York City's drug pipeline on Wednesday, arresting one person in a coordinated operation that officials are pitching as another quiet win in an ongoing effort to choke off wholesale supply.

Dominican Republic forces have seized hundreds of cocaine packages from a speedboat that was targeted and destroyed by the United States Navy, officials said, amid escalating anti-drug operations in the Caribbean. In a post on X on Sunday, the Dominican Republic's National Directorate for Drug Control (DNCD), the country's drug enforcement agency, said it carried out a joint Dominican-US operation in which they said they recovered 1,000kg (2,200lb) of cocaine in 377 packages.
Dock workers alerted customs officers after noticing two men boarding a ship and disembarking carrying over 20 sports bags. The dock workers did not recognise either of the suspects as port employees. They informed nearby customs officers, who immediately intervened and stopped the car that the men were about to leave in.
