A blink-and-you-miss-it detail from episode five, "In the Name of the Mother," draws a subtle throughline between Dunk and another prominent knight from Westerosi history: Brienne of Tarth, who appears a century later in the "Game of Thrones" timeline. In a flashback scene, a young Dunk is shown walking down the kingsroad with his childhood friend, Rafe, returning to their home in King's Landing. This route runs for thousands of miles across Westeros, easing travel to and from the capital.

Zhang: After a series premiere that seemed to be received pretty well by viewers-although the diarrhea smash cut was certainly divisive-we open the second episode of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms with another jump scare: big dong alert, courtesy of Ser Arlan of Pennytree, who is truly packing the heat. (While he is probably not a Best or a Worst Person in Westeros this week, he certainly deserves some kind of title.)

The Lakers star possessed the ball in the backcourt before penetrating to the basket, splitting the defense. As Doncic got to the paint, he gathered the ball and exploded up to the rim for a monstrous two-handed jam over Hornets forward Moussa Diabate before letting go of the rim and letting out a scream. Doncic's teammates couldn't believe the dunk and trolled him in the comments of a photo he posted of the play on Instagram on Tuesday.
