Sometimes in life, you can do everything right and still not come out on top. Take the Kia EV6, for example. It really deserves to be a bigger hit than it's been. Here's a competitively priced electric vehicle with around 300 miles of range, solid performance, striking looks, decent practicality, and some of the best fast-charging performance you can get under $100,000. Yet it hasn't exactly lit up the sales charts.

Hyundai Motor Group, the company that owns Hyundai, Kia and Genesis, said it will expand its vehicle-to-home (V2H) services in the United States in the near term, enabling the two electric crossovers to export power from their high-voltage batteries to the main electrical panel of the owners' houses. That's in addition to the vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality, which is already present on the E-GMP-based EVs.

It's confusing, I know. Hyundai and Kia recently gained access to Tesla's widespread Supercharger network. Their latest electric vehicles even come with the Tesla-style charging port from the factory, so owners can visit those chargers without fumbling with bulky adapters. And now here I am, telling you to think twice before using a Tesla Supercharger in a Kia EV6 or EV9, or a Hyundai Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6, or Ioniq 9. Let me explainand, hopefully, save you a bit of time at the charging station.
