For 18 years, this outdoor " open mic-without-a-mic " has welcomed poets, musicians, emcees, comedy, and everything in between. In the best of San Francisco tradition, everyone is welcome, all forms of expression, in any language. On the southwest streetcorner by the BART station, amidst the pigeons, under the stars.

I'm heading into this holiday season on the budget of all budgets, and it's not easy. There's so much to do during the holidays, especially in New York, and, it's tough when you see parents taking their kids somewhere enthralling every week of December when you can barely afford to snap a photo with a mall Santa. If you're on an extremely tight budget this year, try not to lose hope.

A delightful evening of comedy, happening every 2nd Thursday. Shameful things will be discussed by the shameless and shameful. Maybe reach catharsis, and if not, there's drinks. Hosted by the ever-shame-wracked Annette Mullaney and featuring the best of Bay Area and visiting comedians.
