The Bank of England's Herbert Baker building replaced most Soane structures, reusing some decorative objects and a Roman mosaic while concealing a modern steel structure.

Soane's Bank of England was largely demolished a century ago and replaced by Herbert Baker, with unpublished photographs shown in a museum exhibition.
