Juan Soto has started his running program as part of rehab from a calf strain, but his return date remains uncertain.
New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor will be evaluated for a stress reaction in his left hamate bone and may need surgery, president of baseball operations David Stearns said Tuesday. Stearns said he was confident that Lindor would be ready for Opening Day if he does undergo surgery, with recovery estimated at six weeks. In other Mets news, Stearns said slugger Juan Soto would be moving from right field to left field this season.
