Week 15 of the 2025 NFL season began with an NFC South game between the Falcons and Buccaneers on Thursday night. Led by three touchdowns from tight end Kyle Pitts Sr., the Falcons won thanks to a field goal as time expired from kicker Zane Gonzalez. In the early window Sunday, the Eagles bounced back from a five-turnover performance last Monday with a shutout win over the Raiders. Tight end Dallas Goedert finished with a team-high two touchdown grabs and 70 receiving yards, handing Las Vegas its eighth straight loss. Our NFL Nation reporters reacted to all the action, answering lingering questions coming out of each game and detailing everything you need to know for every team. Let's get to it.
There's just nothing that says the Falcons should have won this game. That is, except for a remarkable game from Kirk Cousins, Bijan Robinson, and Kyle Pitts. I mean, a truly sensational performance that involved only the 20th game ever where a team gained 350+ passing yards, scored 3+ passing TDs, gained 100+ rushing yards, and racked up 5+ sacks as a team (the last instance was Baltimore Ravens vs. Detroit in 2023).
It doesn't feel real, but the Atlanta Falcons offense is completely showing out against the Washington Commanders in front of the home crowd. Add another passing touchdown to Michael Penix's day, making it two on the day, this one to Kyle Pitts on a rollout, completing an explosive 2-play, 76-yard drive. While it is a relief to see Pitts back in the end zone again, he probably shouldn't have even had the chance.
