Avatar have announced a Spring 2026 US tour with Fleshgod Apocalypse and Frozen Soul. Dates kick off April 16th in Sacramento, California, and run through May 20th in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. The itinerary includes stops in Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and New York City, as well as festival appearances by Avatar at Welcome to Rockville and Sonic Temple.

Turnstile were up for four Grammys this year and they won two of them: Best Rock Album for Never Enough and Best Metal Performance for "Birds." It was their first Grammy wins.

Thrash-metal legends Sepultura have announced their final North American tour ever. The Spring 2026 outing will feature stacked support from Exodus, Biohazard, and Tribal Gaze. The "Celebrating Life Through Death" tour kicks off April 29th in Montclair, New Jersey, and runs through a May 29th show in Los Angeles. Along the way, it will hit such cities as Detroit, Nashville, Chicago, Denver, and Las Vegas, among others.

I read Geddy's book [ My Effin' Life, published in 2023], and he mentioned about all the drummers kind of offering themselves to them and how much it turned him and Alex off, Portnoy said. I did send my condolences to Geddy and Alex after Neil passed, but I never once tried to throw my hat in the ring for Neil's gig. I realize that's a sacred role that should only ever be filled if Geddy and Alex choose for it to be so. And sure enough, here we are with them choosing to finally do so, which has been really incredible.
