The club's bosses would even 'hand him the pen' to sign the contract with considerably more conviction than last time. Within Bayern, they believe that since Neuer no longer plays for the national team, his body has been getting enough rest and no longer struggles with injuries.

For most it would be a grand, monumental, once-in-a-lifetime achievement. For him, it was literally just Tuesday. The week before, he had become the oldest Bayern player to play in the UCL (and, one supposes, he broke what was now his own record again by 7 days against Pafos).
