Jets cornerback Kris Boyd is in critical condition after a shooting in New York City early Sunday morning, according toa law enforcement source. Police responded to Manhattan restaurant and bar Sei Less at around 2:09 a.m. and found the 29-year-old with a gunshot wound to his abdomen, according to the New York Police Department. The athlete was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, police said.
University of San Francisco athletic director Larry Williams died Thursday morning while working out at the school's War Memorial Gym, the university announced. Williams, 62, took over the Dons' athletic department in August 2022. Former NFL quarterback and current Fox Sports broadcaster Mark Sanchez has been hospitalized after being stabbed in Indianapolis early Saturday morning. Fox Sports said in a statement that Sanchez is currently recovering in stable condition. "We are deeply grateful to the medical team for their exceptional care and support. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark, and we ask that everyone please respect his and his family's privacy during this time," Fox Sports said in the statement.
