Roughly one in four new openings around Milwaukee now advertise some version of hybrid work, while most roles still expect people in the office full time. The split is rippling through downtown, where vacancy rates remain stubbornly high and landlords are rethinking how to fill all that space.
The two foreclosed office buildings are located at 2000 and 2010 Crow Canyon Place in San Ramon, according to documents filed on Dec. 4 with the Contra Costa County Recorder's Office. The office complex is known as Plaza San Ramon. It consists of two similar buildings that together total 312,000 square feet. Texas-based real estate firm C-III Capital Partners had bought the buildings in 2018 and lost them through the foreclosure.
Industrious has, as its name suggests, tried to differentiate itself from competitors like WeWork by offering co-working with a more professional atmosphere - shared workspaces without the Ping-Pong table and tequila vibe. (It was, fittingly, acquired by commercial brokerage CBRE for around $800 million in January.) It already offers higher-end co-working spaces (and has partnered with Equinox on some offices), just not, until now, this high-end.
