Beloved seafood shack Bob Lobster caught fire Saturday evening, which led to the brief closure of Plum Island Turnpike while multiple fire agencies responded to the scene, according to a press release. Newbury firefighters, who received help from the Newburyport, Rowley, and Georgetown fire departments at the scene, were able to successfully put out the small fire. The Newbury Fire Department also was supported by firefighters from West Newbury, Salisbury, Groveland, and Amesbury, who covered Newbury's stations at the time of the blaze.
On Monday, firefighters from the Graton Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 4:48 a.m. inside the popular Chinese restaurant in Sonoma County, according to a Facebook post by the agency. Residents living on the building's second story above the restaurant were safely evacuated through bedroom windows without injury. In its initial report, the fire department shared that it believed the fire could have originated from a charcoal barbecue used the night before, but the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The San Jose Fire Department responded to a fire at a Bonchon Restaurant early Sunday morning. The department said firefighters responded to reports of smoke on the 7000 block of Santa Teresa Blvd. around 4:05 a.m. Sunday. A second alarm was requested, and the fire was under control at 5:29 a.m., the department said. The department said no injuries were reported and two other businesses in the building sustained smoke damage but no fire damage.
