The images of Lindsey Vonn down on the snow, screaming in pain and then being airlifted off the course by helicopter after her crash at the Olympics were a stark reminder of the dangers of the downhill. So is this: Her skis didn't come off. Vonn's boots remained locked into her skis even after her pinwheeling fall at the Milan Cortina Games, pointing awkwardly in different directions as she slid to a stop in obvious agony.

NYC's struggling commuter van industry is getting a much-needed financial boost to help offset high insurance costs and invest in safety and technology upgrades. Empire State Development (ESD), a New York economic development organization, announced on Monday that it provided more than $2 million through its Commuter Van Stabilization Program (CVSP), launched in September 2024, to help drivers in the often-overlooked commuter van industry in NYC.

"DATTCO is known for doing things the right way - with care, detail, and a constant focus on the customer," Tom Wagner, Vice President, Private Sector Sales and Service at MCI, said. "We're proud to deliver these J4500s to such a respected operator and look forward to supporting their team in every way we can."
