On the first possession of the extra period, Seattle was eyeing a sudden-death touchdown. The Seahawks needed less than a yard from the Rams' 16 to move the chains, but Kenneth Walker III was stuffed on third-and-1 and again on fourth-and-1. Penetration killed both plays, even as then-offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb fielded a heavy package on the second attempt. After the turnover on downs, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford ended the game with a four-play touchdown drive.

During a recent appearance on "Up & Adams," Alexander spoke about picking the Seahawks to walk out with the Lombardi Trophy, but made sure to send a message to his former team about not overlooking a key aspect of the Patriots, despite the ongoing narrative surrounding the roster: the offense. We're almost at the finish line of the 2025 NFL regular season, making this our second-to-last NFL Power Rankings of the year. PITTSBURGH -- The Seattle Seahawks face the Pittsburgh Steelers in a NFL Week 2 matchup on Sunday. Shoring up the run defense was an emphasis this offseason, yet the Steelers struggled against the Jets. The defense will be tested in a different way against Seattle's zone scheme without first-round rookie defensive tackle Derrick Harmon (knee). Watch out for No. 3 corner Josh Jobe, whose combination of size (6-foot-4, 210 pounds) and speed might make him Seattle's best option to match up with former Seahawk DK Metcalf.
