Cricket authorities in Bangladesh have agreed to work closely with the International Cricket Council (ICC) to resolve security concerns regarding their team's participation in the upcoming T20 World Cup in India. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will cooperate with the tournament's organisers in order to ensure the country's participation, it said in a statement on Wednesday, three days after saying its men's team will not travel to the neighbouring country.
A large cardboard box overflowing with NYPD uniforms was abandoned near Brooklyn's Green-Wood Cemetery, cops said on Thursday. A 911 call led police to the box containing department pants, shirts, jackets and hats on a roadside in the 66th Precinct around 8:39 p.m. Tuesday, cops said. Video posted online shows officers taking uniforms from the box at 37th St. and Ninth Ave. in Borough Park and stuffing them into plastic bags. The "blues" were taken to the 66th Precinct stationhouse for safekeeping, police said.

Birmingham City's Safety Advisory Group (SAG) the body responsible for issuing safety certificates for matches at Villa Park, where the game is to be played informed Aston Villa that Maccabi Tel Aviv away fans will not be permitted to attend.
"The club are in continuous dialogue with Maccabi Tel Aviv and the local authorities throughout this ongoing process," Villa said, "with the safety of supporters attending the match and the safety of local residents at the forefront of any decision."
Another round of anti-Trump 'No Kings' protests will unfold across several South Florida cities this Saturday, among thousands across the country during heightened political unrest and a government shutdown. The protests, scheduled from Miami to West Palm Beach, will coincide with Trump's return to his Mar-a-Lago residence this weekend for a fundraiser. Previous peaceful protests have drawn thousands to cities across South Florida.
Weaponized drones are being tested inside US schools, flying through hallways with the ability to neutralize active shooters in seconds. Equipped with non-lethal pepper spray, powder pellets, and live video feeds, the drones launch from secure charging stations, six per school, when gunfire is detected. Developed by Campus Guardian Angel, the system has already completed trials in Texas and was recently demonstrated in three Florida schools. Permanent installations are scheduled this fall, with full deployment expected by January.
