The "blues" were taken to the 66th Precinct stationhouse for safekeeping, police said."

'This was not smart to do ... these uniforms could be used in future attacks on the city,' Derick Brough commented on X. 'They [police] could have articulated their disgust with mayoral selection in other ways.' Similarly, another poster also saw a possibly sinister motive behind the curious occurrence. 'They're definitely not from a walk out [by protesting cops],' X user Anthony commented. 'Looks more like a foiled terrorist plot or something.'"
