Getting your Trinity Audio player ready... BAY POINT A two-alarm fire early Thursday sent one person to a hospital and caused significant damage to a residence, fire officials said. Fire crews from the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded about 5:25 a.m. to a residence on Anchor Drive and found smoke and fire coming from it upon their arrival. Spokesperson Capt. Victor Daniel said officials sounded a second alarm to make sure all occupants were out of the house.

The fire began around 7:15 am at a five-story, 43-unit building at 19th and Broadway in Oakland, as KTVU reports. The address appears to be 1770 Broadway, but the fire appears to have been confined to a rear portion of the building on the 19th Street side, above Gai Noi, a Thai restaurant. The ground floor of the building is also home to Dope Era, a clothing store owned by legendary Oakland rapper Mistah F.A.B., per NBC Bay Area.

The coroner stated, 'I'm satisfied on those facts this death occurred in circumstances requiring an inquest,' highlighting the necessity of investigating Mr. Wright's tragic death.

Three people have been treated for smoke inhalation following a fire on Farmfield Road in Bromley, with one individual transported to the hospital.
