Per a video from Geese's touring keyboardist Sam Revas, Tame Impala's Kevin Parker was at a studio in Perth, Australia with Geese members Max Bassin and Emily Green, Pond members Nick Allbrook, Jay Watson, and James Ireland, and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard multi-instrumentalist Ambrose Kenny-Smith. No formal recordings have been announced yet from the various bands, but based on the brief video posted on socials, there were definitely bongos involved.

On a bright afternoon in late August, I met Kevin Parker, the polymath behind the psych-pop project Tame Impala, at a hotel bar in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles. Parker was dressed in baggy pants, flip-flops, and sunglasses. His hair is the kind of shaggy that suggests abject neglect more than overpriced Hollywood coiffure. We ordered a round of mezcal cocktails, which, when they arrived, were conspicuously pink and garnished with tiny orchids.

Tame Impala has teased a new single titled "End of Summer" with a cryptic message on X/Twitter, advising fans to clear 7 minutes of their schedule.
