It's certainly looking up. We delivered a strong performance out at Sturm Graz, we didn't get the goal we needed but it was a very strong performance. It's good to come back here, especially after the Liverpool win, so to back that up with a win is great. That's the main thing for me: keeping that mentality, particularly here at home because of the fanbase, and keeping that consistency in our performances.
SAN JOSE A day after he completed his third career NHL hat trick with an overtime goal, etching his name alongside some of the NHL's all-time greatest players, Sharks center Macklin Celebrini had already moved on. Sitting just outside of a playoff spot, there's too much left for the Sharks to try to accomplish, too much room for improvement with three-quarters of the season remaining.
It wasn't a given for me to see Inter and Milan so high up after eleven games. Both have strong squads on paper, but football is played on the pitch and you have to deal with many factors. Inter, for example, played the Club World Cup until July, and psychological fatigue could have taken its toll. Plus, they have a new coach who needed to get on well with the group.
Cincinnati had lost three straight matches before playing Portland last weekend, losing their last two matches of the 2025 Leagues Cup and falling 1-0 to FC Charlotte after Tah Anunga was sent off. However, a hard-fought 3-2 win at Providence Park proved Cincinnati deserved the top spot of the Eastern Conference. The Garys put three goals past Portland in the first half, but conceded the second goal with 20 minutes left to play.
