The price of petrol in France has jumped in recent weeks, prompting protests and demands for government help. French Oil giant TotalEnergies announced in mid-March that it would cap petrol prices at its petrol stations at €1.99 a litre, and €2.09 per litre for diesel, although only until the end of March.
Fuel at all TotalEnergies stations in mainland France, including on motorway service stations and in rural areas will be limited to 1.99 per litre for petrol and 2.09 per litre for diesel from Friday, March 13th, until the end of the month.
The complaint centers on alleged abuses committed between July and September 2021 by soldiers belonging to a joint task force (JTF) that was deployed to protect the Cabo Delgado gas site. The JTF, paid by TotalEnergies under an agreement with the government, was made up of Mozambican armed forces, with the alleged actions taking place following a jihadi attack on the site that led to operations being suspended there.
Cyclingnews was told that the new jersey could be revealed on Tuesday July 1 as the team travels to Lille for the Grand Depart of the Tour de France.
