The goal of suppressing all protests is apparent in these principles: 'Actions taken beyond making one's thoughts heard or read... do not constitute speech and expression protected by these Principles.'
"I told him, 'These are the things I'm concerned about; these are the risks if we run out of medications, or if we run out of oxygen, or if we're not able to get you off the mountain in two or three days.' I would like to think that we, whether it's as physicians or patients, should be able to talk about risk in a little bit more of a realistic, humane way."
"You could tell where his skill set was as a coder and as a thinker, and he was just supremely advanced. He was taking senior-level courses as a freshman and showing up to a three-hour final exam, two hours late, and getting the highest grade in class."
A dire white paper published by three administrators at the University of Louisville about how manifestly untenable and economically punitive the current state of college sports is, even for elite programs. Interstate 95 and the Market-Frankford elevated commuter train line provide easy access to the neighborhood for buyers and sellers, and abandoned buildings offer havens for drug use and other illicit activity. St. Francis Inn Ministries, which was founded by two Franciscan friars in 1979, serves sit-down breakfast and dinner for thousands of people each year, many of whom suffer from poverty, homelessness and substance use disorder.
"We're bringing together two really significant and very diverse institutions, and it's a big-scale operation, so we'll be able to look at a lot of things across a lot of different environments," said Mindy Tarlow, senior fellow and professor at NYU's Marron Institute of Urban Management, where the lab will initially be housed.
