The strike by Tube drivers who are members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union (RMT) is set to cripple services again, causing travel disruption for commuters and visitors.

Drivers were delivering packages in deadly heat with no air conditioning; part-time employees, the majority of UPS' workforce, have been unable to receive benefits. Wages aren't rising at the same rate as the cost of living.

Beteta claims that employees were required to work off the clock and complete unpaid post-shift tasks, such as cleaning walls and mopping floors, violating labor laws.

Saxon says he worked for Ye for almost two months, from September to November 2021, and alleges he's owed $1 million for unpaid wages as well as expenses. Saxon says that Ye hired him to helm renovation and ultimate remodeling of the then-$57 million house. Saxon alleges that Ye said he'd pay him $20,000 weekly. While Ye did pay him $260,000, Saxon says much of that went back into the house and was used for construction material and laborers.

The move comes amid an ongoing fight over pay and working conditions, according to workers who spoke to WIRED. Most raters working at GlobalLogic are based in the US and deal with English-language content. Just as content moderators help purge and classify content on social media, these workers use their expertise, skill, and judgment to teach chatbots and other AI products, including Google's search summaries feature called AI Overviews -the right responses on a wide range of subjects.

Streeting urged co-chairs Dr Melissa Ryan and Dr Ross Nieuwoudt to abandon the plan for 55,000 resident doctors to strike at 7am next Friday, 25 July.
