At the MTV Video Music Awards, a new shopping technology by Shopsense AI allowed fans to purchase outfits as they appeared on screen, enhancing viewer engagement.
Launched in January, Shopsense AI uses computer vision to match live looks with a database of over 1 billion items from 1,000+ retailers, enhancing online shopping.
Viewers can take pictures of their favorite VMA outfits through their mobile devices and receive suggestions that include price range and style alternatives from retailers.
Though the technology is impressive, Shopsense AI still faces challenges with color recognition and accuracy, occasionally suggesting items that do not closely match the original looks.
