Verizon Business recently introduced AI Connect, aimed at enabling hyperscalers and global enterprises to deploy artificial intelligence workloads at scale. Google Cloud and Meta are among the first users of this new service, which expands Verizon's AI ecosystem through partnerships with several major players, including NVIDIA. The initiative addresses the anticipated shift to real-time AI decision-making, projected to comprise the majority of workloads by 2030, necessitating enhanced computing capabilities and low-latency connectivity in network edges.
As the technology evolves, our industry leadership, best-in-class edge-to-cloud connectivity, programmable network and assets will enable us to meet these needs and accelerate innovation.
This approach to AI will be used by 60% to 70% of workloads by 2030, according to a McKinsey prediction referenced in the announcement.
