Art Dealers Association of America Rebrands 'The Art Show' as ADAA Fair, Will Stay at Park Avenue Armory
"The Art Dealers Association of America ( ADAA) will rebrand its long-running fair, The Art Show, as the ADAA Fair, running November 12-16, 2026 at the Park Avenue Armory. "This fair signals a new era for the ADAA-one rooted in our mission and responsive to the cultural needs of our time," ADAA executive director Kinsey Robb said in a statement. This past July, the ADAA made the surprise announcement that it would not stage the 2025 edition of the Art Show, which had been held annually since 1988. The organization called the move a "strategic pause" in an email to its members. At the time, the organization said it wanted to "to reimagine The Art Show with long-term sustainability and member value in mind.""
"With this name change, the ADAA said the new fair will advance "a mission-aligned direction centered on championing the visual arts and the institutions that sustain them," per the release. This includes a grant program for museums and art nonprofits that dates back some 50 years. For the upcoming 2026 edition, the ADAA has selected as its grantees the DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center in Chicago; Inner-City Arts in Los Angeles; the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art in Auburn, Alabama; the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit; and the Neuberger Museum of Art in Harrison, New York."
The Art Dealers Association of America will rebrand The Art Show as the ADAA Fair, scheduled for November 12–16, 2026 at the Park Avenue Armory. The ADAA paused the 2025 edition to reimagine the fair for long-term sustainability and member value. The longstanding opening-benefit partnership with Henry Street Settlement has concluded, and Henry Street partnered with Independent for a May 2026 fundraiser at Pier 36. The ADAA Fair will emphasize a mission-aligned direction championing visual arts and sustaining institutions and will continue a decades-old grant program. Selected 2026 grantees include DuSable, Inner-City Arts, Jule Collins Smith Museum, MCA Detroit, and Neuberger Museum of Art. The fair will occur slightly later in November than in recent years.
