The Evans Children's Adventure Garden in southwest Arkansas showcases a four-story communal treehouse designed by modus studio. The design draws inspiration from childhood experiences and aims to reconnect children with nature, often lost in modern play. The treehouse features a curving screen of locally sourced Southern yellow pine, allowing light and breezes in while promoting engagement with the environment, reflecting the importance of fostering connections to the natural world.
This unique structure is a defining small project for modus, and it draws on their own childhood experiences in the region.
The tree house uses a rich visual and tactile environment to stimulate the mind and body and strengthen connections back to the natural world.
