Marvel Rivals will now introduce new heroes every month as the seasons transition to a two-month format starting with season 3. This change was announced by creative director Guangyun Chen. The new schedule promises faster hero releases than competitors like Overwatch 2, which rolls out new heroes every six months. Alongside the new heroes, the update will include balance changes, new team-up abilities, and gifting options for cosmetics, with further details about in-game currency accumulation to come before season 3 launches in early July.
"After extensive internal discussions and thorough evaluations, we've decided that starting from season 3, the seasons will shift to a two-month format, with a new hero debuting each month."
"This aggressive release schedule for new heroes will be considerably faster than that of its closest competitor, Overwatch 2, which releases new heroes around every six months."
