RB Leipzig has relieved head coach Marco Rose of his duties alongside his coaching staff due to a need for new impetus in light of poor results. Having managed the club since September 2022, Rose guided RB Leipzig through 125 matches, achieving UEFA Champions League qualification and winning the DFB-Pokal and Supercup. Despite these successes, the management felt a change was necessary, leading to the hiring of Zsolt Löw as the new head coach. The club aims to improve performance for the remainder of the season.
Marco Rose has been relieved of his duties as RB Leipzig head coach with immediate effect, along with his coaching team and the head of first team football.
RB Leipzig managing director Marcel Schäfer emphasized that the decision for change was influenced by a continued lack of results and the need for new impetus.
During his time, Rose helped RBL qualify for the Champions League twice and win both the DFB-Pokal and the Supercup.
Former Bayern Munich assistant coach Zsolt Löw has been appointed as the new head coach, taking over from Rose.
