"It was incredibly tough to go from playing almost every game to being sidelined just when I felt I was at my peak. Those injuries gave me a lot to think about, especially regarding my future," Kleyn expressed, reflecting on the significant toll the injuries took on his mental well-being.
"Not knowing if I would ever step onto the field again after such a strong start to my time at Munster was devastating. I needed to stay strong and focused on recovery," he said, acknowledging the challenges he faced during rehabilitation.
Kleyn emphasized the importance of support from teammates and coaches during his difficult times, stating that having a solid support system helped him navigate the emotional and physical battles as injuries plagued his career.
