St Patrick's Day 2025: The parades and events taking place in towns and villages across Ireland

Ireland is preparing to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with vibrant parades across the country, showcasing local talent and unique themes. Over 500,000 participants are expected to line Dublin's streets, with the National Parade featuring notable figures like Grand Marshal Victoria Smurfit. Other cities, such as Cork and Galway, will host their own parades led by prominent local figures in sports and music. Over half a million people are expected to line the streets of Dublin for the National St Patrick's Day Parade, which begins at noon.

This year’s parades will feature a variety of themes, including Wicked, That’s Entertainment, and Movie Magic - The Oscars.

Local sporting heroes will lead quite a number of parades around the country, with Paralympic silver medallist Róisín Ní Ríain honoured to act in the Treaty City.
