Zsela's new music video for 'Moth Dance' marks a significant milestone in her artistic journey, being the first song she wrote for her debut album 'Big For You'. The video, directed by Barbara Anastacio, showcases Zsela preparing for a performance, ultimately culminating in a powerful visual moment. Inspired by the film 'Opening Night', it symbolizes a full-circle completion of her project, as Zsela reflects on her personal and creative growth during the album's journey, emphasizing the emotional and transformative themes in her work.
It was the first song I wrote for the album. Moth Dance always represented the home of the project that we left to experiment with other songs.
The video serves as a full-circle culmination for this chapter of Zsela's career, inspired by Cassavetes's film Opening Night.
The theatre is this huge, exciting new development in our community. This felt like the closing of a chapter.
The track is a slow burn. Breathing drawn-out breaths in a poetic cadence, it withholds before it spills into a declaration of life.
