The upcoming release of Elden Ring Nightreign, scheduled for May 30, supports solo play and multiplayer for groups of three. Game director Junya Ishizaki disclosed that two-player co-op was not included because the development team focused on perfecting solo and three-player experiences, and thus inadvertently neglected duos. Ishizaki mentioned that they are exploring the possibility of adding two-player co-op in a future update. He also shared his transition into the director role from Hidetaka Miyazaki, who provided him with valuable guidance.
