""The way he finished, I thought he played really well," said Sturm. "He used his feet probably a little bit more than the first couple of games he played. Yes, he's on the smaller side but because of his ability to skate and move and use his stick very well, I'm very confident he will do a great job.""
""I thought I showed a lot of different aspects of my game and got to show a little bit of everything, which I was really happy about," said Harris after the morning skate. "I thought I played really hard, thought details were good. I'd say it was sharp overall.""
Hampus Lindholm did not skate and is day-to-day with an unspecified lower-body injury sustained in the first period of Thursday's home opener against Chicago. Coach Marco Sturm expects Lindholm to return to the ice on Sunday and confirmed the injury is not related to the broken kneecap that kept Lindholm out for 65 games after Nov. 12. With Lindholm out, Jordan Harris drew into the lineup and took his spot next to Andrew Peeke. Harris's training camp improved as it progressed, and he showcased skating, movement and stick work. Harris was drafted by Montreal in 2018, played 131 games for the Habs, was traded by Columbus, went unsigned as a restricted player, signed a one-year $825,000 deal with the Bruins, and delivered a key assist in the preseason comeback at Madison Square Garden.
