"It's not going to be a day-to-day thing," Sturm said of Lindholm's status. "Hopefully it's not too long, but he's definitely going to be out for a little bit. We'll have to do more testing when we're back in Boston so we can go from there."
After a day off in Seattle on Sunday, the B's showed up for practice at Climate Pledge Arena on Monday without Hampus Lindholm, who had suffered some kind of unspecified injury and is going to miss some time, coach Marco Sturm told reporters in Seattle. "It's not going to be a day-to-day thing," said Sturm. "Hopefully it's not going to be too long. He's definitely going to be out a little bit. We have to do more testing when we're back in Boston."
Since acquiring Hampus Lindholm in March of 2022, the Boston Bruins have relied heavily on his defensive minutes at the top of their lineup. Overall, he played in 153 games over his first two seasons in Boston. However, last season Hampus Lindholm was sideline for all but 17 games with a back injury and the team missed him dearly. Boston plummeted in the second half and missed the playoffs entirely.
A lot has changed since the last time Hampus Lindholm took to the ice with the Boston Bruins. When the veteran blueliner labored off the ice at St. Louis' Enterprise Center on Nov. 12, 2024, Jim Montgomery was still on the Bruins' bench - not the Blues'. Brad Marchand, Brandon Carlo, Charlie Coyle and several other stalwarts were still donning black-and-gold sweaters.
