A Mexican navy training ship, Cuauhtémoc, collided with the Brooklyn Bridge over the weekend, leading to the deaths of two crew members and injuring 19 others. Authorities revealed that the vessel lost power because of a mechanical failure while navigating beneath the bridge. The masts of the ship were too tall, leading to the crash when the ship attempted to reverse. Officials stated that there was no damage to the bridge and emphasized the prompt response from first responders during the emergency.
