Neil Hurlock, 20, was arrested Thursday for an antisemitic hate crime committed on March 3 aboard an N train at Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center station. The suspect allegedly approached a 54-year-old victim without prior interaction and launched an unprovoked attack, repeatedly punching him while making antisemitic remarks. Hurlock then grabbed the victim's yarmulke and fled on a Manhattan-bound train. The victim was transported to SUNY Downstate Medical Center in stable condition. Police identified Hurlock through video surveillance footage. He was charged with robbery as a hate crime, assault as a hate crime, and petit larceny as a hate crime, among other charges. Hurlock has three prior assault arrests.
