On Sunday afternoon, five masked individuals committed a brazen daylight robbery at Kay Jewelers in the Sunvalley Shopping Center, utilizing sledgehammers and pickaxes to smash display cases and steal numerous pieces of jewelry. The incident occurred at approximately 1:15 p.m. and, despite the aggressive approach, luckily no one sustained physical injuries during the robbery.
Witnesses reported that the group fled the scene quickly in a dark-colored Dodge Charger. The swift response by local law enforcement followed, but the perpetrators had already escaped, raising concerns about safety in public shopping areas. Police are urging anyone who may have seen the crime or has information to reach out to their tip line.
