Law enforcement sources said the shooting happened inside the Brevoort Houses at 1831 Fulton St., off Buffalo Avenue, in Bedford-Stuyvesant at about 4:44 p.m. on May 31.
EMS rushed the victim to Kings County Hospital in critical condition, but he has since been updated to stable condition, police sources said Saturday night.
The motive for the shooting remains unknown at this time, police reported. So far, no arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation.
Through May 25, the 81st Precinct recorded five shooting incidents with seven victims year-to-date, up from the four shootings with five victims tallied at the same point in 2024.
