The Boyles Fire ignited around 2:14 p.m. in Clearlake, quickly spreading to 76 acres. Evacuations were initiated as 30 structures were reported involved.
Cal Fire spokesperson Jason Clay noted that the fire is burning in extremely flammable brush, signaling a moderate spread rate amidst efforts from air support.
