Bay Area woman accused of stealing and assaulting neighbor's dog
"Marin County sheriff's deputies arrested a Bolinas woman for allegedly stealing a neighbor's dog and then attacking the pet and its owner during an argument. The incident began late Monday night when the dog owner left his pet at his residence in Bolinas. A witness called him about a woman entering the home and removing the dog, sheriff's Lt. Brennan Collins said. The dog owner spotted a driver with his dog in her vehicle in downtown Bolinas."
"After taking his dog back, the owner and the woman got into an argument about the animal's continuous barking and its overall well-being, Collins said. Then the woman allegedly punched the man's face and kicked his dog. She is also accused of damaging his vehicle. Collins said the man provided video as evidence to support his account. Angela Rollins, 62, was booked into the Marin County Jail on suspicion of cruelty to an animal, vandalism, burglary and battery."
A Bolinas resident allegedly entered a neighbor's home late Monday, removed the neighbor's dog and drove away in a vehicle. A witness alerted the dog owner, who later spotted the driver with his dog in downtown Bolinas and recognized her as his neighbor. After reclaiming the dog, the owner and the woman argued about the animal's continuous barking and its well-being. The woman allegedly punched the owner's face, kicked the dog and damaged the owner's vehicle. The owner provided video evidence. Angela Rollins, 62, was booked on suspicion of cruelty to an animal, vandalism, burglary and battery, held on $50,000 bail and released on bond.
