The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office is investigating three residential burglaries in Emerald Hills and Portola Valley. The incidents occurred on the 300 block of Golden Oak Avenue, the 200 block of Scenic Drive, and the 3800 block of Woodland Way. The break-in on Golden Oak Avenue involved forced entry into an unoccupied home. On Scenic Drive, there was an attempted burglary while the victim was present. A subsequent burglary occurred on Woodland Way, resulting in stolen valuables. Investigators are seeking public assistance in reviewing security footage for any suspicious activity.
On the 300 block of Golden Oak Avenue, suspects forced entry into an unoccupied home around 9:30 p.m. Thursday, marking the start of a series of burglaries.
The following evening, deputies responded to an attempted burglary on Scenic Drive, where the suspects entered the rear of a residence while the victim was home.
One hour later, deputies responded to Woodland Way, where multiple suspects broke into another home and stole valuables. The total loss is still being determined.
The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office is asking the public to review security camera footage for suspicious activity related to the string of burglaries in the area.
