Briefly

The first fully operational C-130H has successfully delivered 8,000 gallons of retardant to combat the Record Fire in Riverside County, marking its inaugural firefighting mission.
'This marks a historic milestone in the agency's ongoing commitment to California!' said Cal Fire chief Joe Tylor as Tanker 122 joined the CAL FIRE fleet.
After a wait of over five years, California officials finally received the first of several military aircraft promised by the federal government to aid in firefighting.
The video demonstrating Tanker 122's capabilities was released by Cal Fire on September 3, 2024, highlighting the enhancement in the state's firefighting resources.
