Police initially reported multiple people with injuries that appeared life-threatening. A passenger, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, a man in his 40s, and a 35-year-old woman were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police arrested a 49-year-old man for impaired driving. Sheppard Avenue E. was closed at Vandorf Street while police investigated the crash site.
